PAYT - płać za tyle, ile wyrzucasz! Możliwe ważne zmiany!
The Ministry of Climate and Environment announces important changes to the Act on Maintaining Cleanliness and Order in Municipalities. The planned amendment includes:
- greater flexibility in calculating waste fees, including the possibility of implementing a PAYT (pay-as-you-throw) system – meaning “pay for what you throw away”,
- better use of existing data (e.g. from water and sewage systems) without the need to create new registries,
- composting discounts, including in multi-family housing,
- expansion of Civic Recycling Centers (PSZOKs) and promotion of source-separated collection,
- and fairer recycling settlement rules, including through a deposit return system and the planned EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility).
